No little green wonk :(

So the police got to the Little Green Wonk before it even got going. Maybe we should have gone off to the Freaky Little Green Bazaar a couple of weeks ago after all (see below). Shame, it looked like it was going to be a big one! Soz to hear how it went guys.

The Spooky Gong & Chimes Numbers Station

 
very spooky recording of the Gong & Chimes East German numbers station . Numbers stations are normally spy instructions sent by shortwave radio as a coded sequence of numbers, a station is normally identified by a signature tune or sound, in this case a degraded recording some rather scary 70s electronic music and a church bells!

My thoughts on Viacom

I have been data raped. I am English, I do not watch the small proportion of the crap that reaches our shores on TV let alone on YouTube (OK I may have watched 10mins of the daily show now and again but its a poor imitation of a show thats been running over here for a lot longer). Why the hell should my details be passed to Viacom, I have done nothing to them, they on the other hand have just invaded my privacy.
 
I like many others have produced a little YT clip, it isnt really worth watching for the content but please do to get viewing figures up and then watch all the related clips and comment on them. It's all about giving them something to look at in their newly aquired numbers, that is a big fuck off!

A second post to posterous

I'm liking this site already it is just so simple, it feels more like writing an email to a friend than posting to a blog!

Email has become an overlooked technology in these days of RSS/JSON etc but it has its niche. I have twittered/friendfeeded about it (twitter.com/sqoo) and am thinking of creative ways to use it :)

Thanks Gary for being my first subscriber, hopefully I will write some content worth reading.

A first post to posterous

Hello,
 
This is my first post to posterous, I am Dave Pook (http://davidpook.co.uk). I have just been watching fruitsnake's walks round the countryside on http://bimblog.net. I need to get on with some scanning for a customer (I am a web developer, http://sqoo.co.uk is my site) but the weather is nice and there are half a dozen other tasks I need to do which could stop me!
 
This post is a bit like a megatwitter, lets see how it goes!
